Magic Wok was established in 1977 by Raymond and Grace Lee, and Tommy Ng, who is Grace’s brother. They and their families emigrated here from China. Our original location, at 50 S. La Grange Rd., made us the first Chinese restaurant on La Grange Road in our suburb. In 1991, we expanded and moved to our current location at 23 W. Harris Ave. We also became one of the first establishments to hold a liquor license in La Grange when the village approved liquor sales in the mid-1980s.
